Electric & hybrid vehicles, electronics, power tools, energy storage systems and solar power generators all use lithium batteries – and production of all of these is set to soar.
However we’ve all heard stories about the safety of these batteries, particularly when in transit.
The biggest challenge facing Australia’s waste management sector is transporting these lithium batteries safely for disposal or recycling.
We’ve been working alongside Envirostream, a member of the Australian Battery Recycling Initiative, to help recover the resources from lithium batteries so they don’t need to leave Australia or go to landfill. Our solution is the ultra-safe lithium battery storage box.

We’ve used our experience producing robust, high-quality steel products to design, test and manufacture the Battery Box.
This fireproof box is built to safely transport and store lithium batteries – reducing risk for transport drivers and waste management staff, and helping facilitate a ‘circular economy’ for batteries. It’s available in a range of sizes and can be customised to suit your needs.
This is currently the only product of its type in Australia.
